ライカ、東北地方太平洋沖地震についてのメッセージを公開

　ライカは18日、東北地方太平洋沖地震について本国経営陣からのメッセージを掲載した。

大切な日本の皆様へ

　日本史上最大の地震と津波、そして福島第一原発の爆発に関する報道を私たちは驚愕しつつ受け止めております。私たちのもとには毎日のように凄まじい映像・画像、情報がマスコミから届けられています。これらにより、この大惨事の影響が私たちにとっても明らかになり、日本全体、そして住民の皆様方の苦しみが伝わってきます。私たちの心は、日本にいる私たちの同僚、ビジネスパートナー、多くの大切なお客様、そして全ての人々と共にありますこのような運命に見舞われてしまった国と人々のことを考えるとショックの余り愕然とするばかりです。心よりお見舞い申し上げますとともに、一刻も早い復旧をお祈りしております。

It is deep regret and sorrow that we have learned the news of the most disastrous earthquake in the history of Japan, the consequent Tsunami and the explosions in the Fukusihma-Daiichi atomic power station. Day after day, the media reveal more and more new and shocking images and information about the disastrous consequences of this devastating catastrophe and the suffering of an entire nation and its people.

Out thoughts are constantly with our friends, colleagues, business partners, our many faithful customers and the people of Japan. We are shocked and deeply moved by all we see and hear and our heartfelt sympathies go out to the nation and people of Japan and their infinite suffering in the aftermath of this fateful event.
